Symbiosis International (Deemed University) which is an international leader in higher education and Aston University, which is a renowned UK university through a new initiative have together launched this 3.5+1 pathway programme. It provides an option for students enrolled in Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Pune (SCMS-P), a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) to smoothly ladder into the Master’s programme of Aston University. Under this, a student from SCMS, Pune studying the four-year B.B.A. Honours/ Honours with Research program after completing Semesters 1 to 7 at SCMS, Pune, can pursue a one-year Master’s programme at Aston University (ABS), UK.
The student will be eligible to get two degrees - B.B.A. Honours/ Honours with Research from Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and a Master’s degree (Master's in Management) from Aston University (ABS), UK at an agreed upon discounted fee in 4.5 years/ 5 years depending on the option chosen by the student. At SCMS-P the students will be provided multidisciplinary education including skills enhancement, ability enhancement, value added courses with a cafeteria approach of pursuing their chosen major or minor specialisation option viz. Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Human Resources, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Business Analytics and sustainability Studies and Environment Management. As the students transition to Aston University, they will be doing their Master’s program (Master's in Management) which provides them international exposure, offering them a basket of core and dynamic optional modules. This new offering will extend good opportunities for aspiring Indian students, opening avenues for global career options. Together both the institutions will enable students to develop employability, entrepreneurship, sustainability orientation and enhanced skill building. The eligibility at SCMS, Pune for this pathway is the same as that of B.B.A. (Honours/ Honours with Research) and with Aston University (ABS), UK it is as per the specified course eligibility requirement by them.
