The Industry Visit to the Mercedes Benz Plant for the students of Batch 2023-2027 at SCMS Pune was conducted on 9th September, 2024.The visit began with a briefing on Mercedes-Benz and its factory operations. Students toured the facility, witnessing the entire car assembly process, from raw materials to finished vehicles. This hands-on experience offered a clear understanding of the precision and efficiency required in automotive manufacturing, providing valuable insights into the complexities of production.

The Industry Visit to Schindler India Pvt. Ltd. for the Batch 2023-2027 of SCMS Pune was conducted on 2nd & 3rd September,2024. The visit began with a briefing on Schindler's global presence and industry leadership. Students toured the Schindler University and the elevator and escalator manufacturing facilities, gaining insights into the production process and the technology behind the machinery. They also observed the company's efficient warehouse management system, providing a comprehensive understanding of its operations.
Morde Foods is a leading Indian manufacturer of high-quality chocolate and cocoa-based products, serving both the domestic and international markets. Established in 1983, the company specializes in a wide range of products, including compound chocolates, cocoa powder, and chocolate spreads, catering to the confectionery and bakery industries. Known for its innovation and commitment to quality, Morde Foods has become a trusted brand in the food processing sector.
The Industry Visit to Morde Foods Pvt. Ltd.. for the Batch 2023-2027 of SCMS Pune was conducted on 27th,28th and 29th August,2024. During the Industry Visit, students learned about Morde Foods' history, presence in the FMCG sector, and future plans. They interacted with the CFO, gaining insights into the company's operations and corporate world. The students showed great interest in the chocolate manufacturing process, asking questions and learning about packaging and storage systems. The visit was further enhanced with a chocolate tasting session.

products originating from Pune, Maharashtra, has garnered widespread acclaim since its
establishment in 1950. Revered for its exquisite range of traditional Indian sweets like
Bhakarwadis and high-quality dairy products, the brand's dedication to authentic recipes
and premium ingredients has earned it a devoted global following.
SCMS Pune’s Industry visit to Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale plant was conducted on 13th and
15th September 2023. The students got an opportunity to understand the legacy of the local
brand from its inception to establishment of its roadmap to internationalisation. They were
shown the process of manufacturing Bhakarwadis along with a glimpse of warehouse
management inside the factory. Post which, the students got a chance to sample freshly
baked Bhakarwadis which was a delightful experience for everyone.

The Industry Visit to Schindler India Pvt. Ltd. for the students of SCMS Pune was conducted on 18th, 20th, 22nd and 25th September 2023. This visit gave students an opportunity to observe the manufacturing of escalators and elevators by the Schindler Pune plant. Alongside this, the students also toured Schindler’s training and development centre where employees are trained for assembling Schindler’s vertical mobility products and were acquainted with the supply chain and warehouse management systems. The students were encouraged to ask questions and every query that the students had was welcomed warmly and addressed elaborately.
“In the month of September 2022, the batch of 2021-24 went on an
industrial visit to the Fiat India Automobiles Limited plant in
Ranjangoan. The main aim of the visit was to improve students' knowledge
about ground level operations, to expose them to an organisation's
manufacturing capabilities, how it contributes to a company's overall
strategic strength, and to build a better understanding of workforce
management.
Dr. Ashutosh Mathur and the Placement Cell team organised the event
under the wing of Dr. Adya Sharma, Director, SCMS, Pune.
The industry visit spanned over a course of 4 days where 376 students as
well as teaching and non-teaching faculty members got an opportunity to
visit the plant. Mr. Sachin Ahitre, Supply Chain Manager at Fiat engaged
the students in an interactive session on the topics including
organisational practices, workforce allocation in the assembly line,
supply chain management, distribution practices and the channels used.
The session was concluded with support from Mr. Venkateshwarlu M,
Assistant General Manager at FIAT.
The students enthusiastically participated in the discussions and took
away a lot from this visit. They gained hands-on learning and some key
practical industry insight which has enabled them to understand the
manufacturing sector better.”
On the 22nd of December, 2017, the students of Company Law batch 2016-19 visited the National Stock Exchange, Mumbai as a study tour. The study tour included a visit to the NSE building in Mumbai and participating in a two hour training program. In the training program students were given an overview of the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The resource person Ms. Jyothi explained with the help of a live market, the capital market operations including placing orders, settlement and the role of the clearing corporation. A lot of student queries relating to stock market investments were cleared by the trainer. The training was conducted in the NSE Auditorium. The visit to the NSE was highly exciting and informational for the students. The trip was organized by Dr. Parimala Veluvali, Deputy Director, SCMS under the guidance of Dr Adya Sharma, Director, SCMS, Pune with support from the placement head Dr. Ashutosh Mathur and Col Joshi, AO. Dr. Dhiraj Jain, Prof. Soma accompanied the team for the study tour. The session concluded with the vote of thanks to Mr. Anil Jawaharani (WRO), the resource person Ms Jyothi and the team at NSE. The day long trip was conducted successfully with help from Divya Prakash and Aniket Khemani, students of Company law batch 2016-19.
Study tour of the students of Company Law Batch (2017-20) Semester IV of Accounting and Finance stream, to Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Headquarters in Mumbai.
With the objective of enriching the knowledge and exposure of the students to the Capital market and the role of Securities and Exchange Board of India in regulating the market, a study visit was organised for the students of Company Law of the Batch 2017-20 on the 21st of December, 2018 to SEBI headquarters in Mumbai. Under the guidance of Dr. Adya Sharma, Director SCMS, Pune, the event was organized by Dr. Parimala.V, Deputy Director with support from the placement cell team. A total of 64 students of Company Law were present for the study tour and faculty members including Dr. Parimala Veluvali, Dr. Dhiraj Jain, Prof. Soma Kulshreshtha and Prof Preeti Sodhi also accompanied the team for the visit.
The team from SCMS, Pune was received in SEBI at around 1:45 pm in their Conference room. The session was conducted from 2: 30 pm to 5: 00 pm by Mr. Jeevan Sonparote, Chief General Manager, SEBI. He engaged the students in an interactive session on the topics including ‘Financial planning’, Role of SEBI in the IPO process and the functions of the securities market. The session was concluded with support from Ms Reshma, Assistant General Manager, and Ms. Vishaka More, Assistant General Manager, Investor Awareness Division, Office of investor assistance and education, Securities and Exchange Board of India. A question and answer session was held towards the end. The Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Parimala. After the session, all the participants were served refreshments by the organizers. A group of selected students from Second Year, Company Law were taken to Bombay Stock Exchange and Reserve Bank of India in Mumbai on 2nd September 2015. The purpose of the visit was to make students understand the working of stock exchange and how it functions on daily basis.
With the objective of enriching the knowledge and exposure of the students regarding the the Capital market and the role of Securities and Exchange Board of India in regulating the market, an Industry visit was organised for the students of Company Law of the Batch 2015-18 on the 29th of December, 2016. Under the guidance of Dr. Adya Sharma, Director SCMS,Pune, the event was organized by Dr. Parimala.V, Deputy Director SCMS for the students of Company Law ( Semester IV) with support from the Placement cell. The students were involved in an interactive workshop by Mr. Pranav Vyas , Assistant General Manager, Corporate Risk Dept, SEBI. He covered many aspects relating to financial planning while dwelling on the role of SEBI in monitoring all the market participants and the procedure of an IPO process. The session concluded with the closing remarks by Ms. Amrita Shukla, Asst. General Manager, Investor Awareness Division – OIAE, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on the importance of financial literacy and awareness for students of business management. Ms. Agnes Joseph- Manager OIAE also joined the session. The session was received very well by the students.

students got a good understanding of the working of the factory and the
various quality measures taken by the company to ensure quality.
The students of batch 2014-17, in their second year, were taken to Oxyrich Plant in Wagholi, Pune for their Industrial visit. The visit was conducted on 4th, 5th and 6th August, 2015. The crucial purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with bottling and branding of Oxyrich Water bottles. Students were shown manufacturing system, quality circles and statistical techniques for quality measurement.
