Description:Like every year, Diwali was celebrated at SCMS, Pune with great enthusiasm on 25 October 2024. Different fun activities were conducted wherein everyone participated actively and shared bonds of togetherness. The Director gave a half-yearly presentation, highlighting the major happenings and progress of the institute for the AY 2024-25. Emotion Play workshop, to expressed various emotions and learned to embody them in a playful environment. This allowed the children to connect with their feelings and understand the importance of emotional expression. The event also featured a talent showcase, providing each child the opportunity to present a unique skill highlighting their talents filled with fun and lively games, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and joy among the children. Overall, Udaan was a memorable experience that inspired creativity and emotional awareness, leaving a positive impact on all involved.
Description: The "Devil's Advocate" event organized by Symposia was an argumentative debate competition that would push participants to go through the ethical opposition behind history's most notorious characters. Conducted in the objective of sharpening critical thinking and speaking skills in public forums, it invited teams to defend individuals who are majorly considered to be a criminal. Their performances demonstrated both intellectual rigor and a deep engagement with the ethical complexities of the event.
Description:Organized a political case study competition called Rajneeti, designed to challenge participants to think strategically and act as consultants for various political parties. Teams was assigned a political party facing real-world issues. They were provided with a case study detailing the challenges and had 50 minutes to analyze the situation and create a comprehensive presentation to test their ability to think on their feet and adapt to new challenges under pressure.
Description: The event was held on the SLS ground, transformed into a festive venue adorned with colourful decorations and lights that reflected the joyous spirit of Navratri. Students were encouraged to dress in traditional ethnic attire, showcasing the rich diversity of Indian culture. The evening featured garba and dandiya performances, with participants forming circles and dancing in sync to the rhythmic beats ensuring everyone could participate fully in the festivities.
Description: On 2nd September, the SCMS Pune Amphitheatre buzzed with excitement as the Council and Cultural Committee hosted the "Core Reveal and Date Unveil for Cult Nights." During this lively event, all 10 clubs proudly announced their core members for the academic year 2024-25. The highlight of the evening was the much-anticipated announcement of the dates for the first intra-college cultural fest of the year.
Description: Waxing Eloquent, the topic, Carbon Neutrality Can Not Be Achieved by Developed Nations." captures the essence of Sustainability and encourages thinking and researching ways to bring about societal and environmental change in today's technologically advancing world. By focusing on this topic, the aim was to encourage students to read up on history, track global progress of nations and find ways to think beyond the conventional, embrace innovation, and create sustainable solutions for the future, Shabtaab Singh Khaira and Srihitha Nannapaneni were the two students participitants. Unfortunately we could not win the event.
Description: "Finance Impromptu" is a high-energy event that challenges participants to showcase their financial prowess in lightning-fast 60-second responses. From investment insights to market trends, participants navigate complex financial landscapes on the spot for an adrenaline-pumping experience where quick thinking, strategic insight, and financial knowledge collide.
Description: On 5th September, SCMS Pune celebrated Teacher’s Day with a heartfelt event in the campus lobby. Organized by the Cultural Committee, the celebration honored the invaluable contributions of the faculty. The evening featured special performances by Step Up, Encore, and Drammebaaz, with captivating dance, music, and drama acts dedicated to the teachers. The event was filled with warmth and appreciation, creating a memorable tribute to the mentors who inspire and guide students every day.
Description: The Cultural Committee of SCMS, organized an event named “Cult Nights" to increase class participation, embrace the potential of First-Year Students, evaluate the next cultural committee members and explore the cultural facets of all the students. Cult Nights 2024 embraced the theme of - The Contradiction Code. It allowed all divisions to think above and beyond on simple subthemes like Empathy-Psychopathy and Wet and Dry. All divisions put their best game forward and displayed peak performance whether that be in creativity, dance, music, acting or sports. Division A won the overall event with highest no of points
Description: The workshop started with an explanation of the basics of photography like how a camera works, the exposure triangle, and framing and composition of shots, after which the audience got an opportunity to try to effectively use the things they learned from the presentation with cameras and some help from the core members of the club.
Description: The event began with the decoration of the college lobby, where a beautiful Pookalam, an intricate and colourful floral arrangement, was created on the floor. Students, dressed in their respective traditional attires, actively participated in the celebration, adding to the vibrant cultural atmosphere. Description: Monetrix the finance club, organized “Auctionomics”, a first edition event designed to provide a challenging platform for students to analyze real estate investment, sponsored by Xero Degrees. The rounds provided an opportunity for participants to make strategic property choices, present the financial viability of their investments and outmaneuver their peers through robust financial portfolios. The event was graced by Dr. Adya Sharma.
Description: The Entrepreneurship Cell at SCMS, Pune, conducted an offline workshop featuring Simran Mandhan—Storyteller & Ghostwriter for Founders & Coaches, Speaker and LinkedIn Expert in direction to help students enhance their LinkedIn Profiles to start their professional journeys with topics such as organic growth, profile optimization, and creating quantifiable achievements.
Description: SCMS Pune's contingent participated enthusiastically in the Satrang Cultural Fest, showcasing their diverse talents. Panorama’s participants in the "Beyond the Frame" photography competition were impressed with their creativity and vision. Drammebaaz, the dramatics club, gave a compelling performance in "Saat Rang," blending strong storytelling with stage presence. Encore, the music club, participated in both Eastern and Western Solo Singing, delivering captivating performances. Step Up, the dance club brought energy and precision to the group dance competition.
Description: A Garba workshop was conducted in the Amphitheatre by members of StepUp crew wherein we invited Ms. Riya Pardeshi, a renowned kathak dancer and garba instructor. She started the workshop with a warmup, which led to her teaching basic garba steps and footwork.
Description: The Entrepreneurship Cell orchestrated an inspiring and dynamic mentorship event aimed at guiding diverse startups as they navigate the complexities of their entrepreneurial journeys. The event gathered a mix of entrepreneurs, founders, and their teams, eager to accelerate their progress. The startups ranged from those just entering the market to others are already scaling and expanding their customer base. The diversity in challenges and solutions made for an engaging, enriching environment. This event marked not just the transfer of knowledge but the beginning of new relationships and opportunities for growth. The mentors, having witnessed the passion and potential in these startups, remain committed to supporting them in their future endeavors.
Description: Against All Ads is a dynamic marketing competition comprising two rounds. In the first, teams follow clues to a company’s store and develop a rebranding strategy. Shortlisted teams advance to Round 2, bidding on both advertising formats and companies, then curating an ad to creatively elevate the brand on the chosen platform. Round 1 (Ad-Renaline), Round 2 (Ad-Entity Crisis) Teams were judged on the quality of their campaign, their strategic use of the chosen medium, and their ability to handle resources at hand. Description: The Karaoke Jam event was greatly successful in bringing together members of the student body, and assisting them in displaying their musical talents publicly. A few songs were sung by the participants with the encouragement of the organizers. Songs of various languages were sung, from the soulful songs of Ed Sheeran, to the thrilling beats of Punjabi Rap. The event culminated with an enthralling rendition of the Backstreet boys hit, “I want it that way” which signalled the end of a delightful, and greatly musical evening.
Description: Brand-Dead was an exhilarating event organized by the Marketing Club, offering a dynamic platform for students to showcase their strategic acumen and creative problem-solving skills. The event consisted of two intense rounds, each designed to push participants to their limits and test their marketing expertise. It was built around brand creation and revival.
Description: Monetrix, the finance club, organized "Bazaar: शुल्क", a first edition event designed to equip students with knowledge of analyzing the Union Budget of India, sponsored by the Pokket Cafe. Bazaar challenged participants to demonstrate their mastery of macroeconomics by crafting their own mini version of the national budget by modifying it in three stark capacities. The event was a battleground of economic acumen. The ultimate motive of organizing Bazaar was to identify and recognize exceptional talent in the realm of macro finance and to set a benchmark for in-depth understanding of economic policies.
Description: we organized a two-round event featuring BINGO and Trivia. Teams received a 5x5 BINGO card in the first round with various tasks. The objective was to complete any row, column, or diagonal by performing the tasks and providing proof through photos, videos, or live presentations. The nine qualifying teams were divided into two larger teams. After an exciting and competitive trivia session, Team Y, comprising Trivia Titans, 9/11, and The Powerpuff Girls, emerged victorious. The event was a great success, promoting teamwork and knowledge in a fun, engaging format.
Description Symphony of New Beginnings was an event done to welcome freshers to a new life, and it was an immense success. The event started with a small note made by the Encore Heads, our beloved ex core members started singing their songs and everyone in the audience seemed to enjoy it. The environment in the lobby turned positive by this amazing performance. Our respected Director Ma’am even joined us to enjoy this amazing set. Overall, this event made the freshers happy, and it was something that they will cherish for a really long time.
Description: we hosted AdQuest, where participants created promotional videos. The event saw 5 teams competing to produce the most creative and engaging content with the winners recognized for their originality, creativity and storytelling. AdQuest successfully highlighted Ventana while providing a creative platform for participants.
Description: Situationship was a lively and innovative event organized by the Marketing Club, offering students a unique platform to showcase their personal branding and persuasive communication skills. The event provided an exciting opportunity for participants to market themselves to their choice of clubs through engaging and strategic pitches, all in a high-energy, competitive environment.
Description: Drammebaaz performed "Guilty" at SCMS lobby to raise awareness about rape, sexual abuse, harassment, victim-blaming, and shaming survivors. The play aimed to spark conversations and show solidarity with victims. The actors delivered a gripping performance that deeply resonated with the audience. The crowd remained fully engaged throughout the intense narrative, which shed light on the struggles faced by survivors. The play concluded with enthusiastic applause, marking its success as both a theatrical performance and a powerful social message.
Description: Pitchers 4.0, the fourth edition of the annual startup idea pitching competition organized by the Entrepreneurship Cell of SCMS, Pune. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 14 teams from the first year batch, making it a grand showcase of innovation and business acumen. The event consisted of 2 rounds, 1 online and 1 offline.
Description: Open Mic’24 was an event organized by Symposia for the purpose of allowing the students to interact with each other in a more informal way. It let students express themselves through any form they saw fit, which included singing, poetry, stand up, instruments, storytelling etc. The entire session was quite entertaining, and gave the students a chance to interact with people beyond their divisions and get to explore each other's talents.
Description: Around the BBA in 30 minutes was an event organized by the Academic Cell for the purpose of providing the incoming batch with a clearer idea about the workings of the college and to clarify any and all queries they had regarding the college and college activities. The entire session was very informative and gave a good clarity to the students.
Description: Initiate Cell - the social welfare and environmental awareness club of SCMS, Pune conducted an event with an objective to raise and spread environmental awareness in the digital era. The SIU dignitaries delivered inspirational addresses to the incoming batch. They shared words of wisdom and encouraged students to pursue their dreams and aspirations with dedication and perseverance. Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Pune welcomed students of the new batch of 2024- 28 with great enthusiasm and zeal. The offline induction and orientation ceremony were conducted from 15th July to 19th July 2024.
The first day of the Induction ceremony started with Sharda Vandana and auspicious lighting of the lamp by our honorable guest Ambassador Pavan K Verma a distinguished writer-diplomat, politician.
Our Director, Dr. Adya Sharma could not attend the ceremony in person due to a medical emergency however she shared a heartfelt video message and welcomed the Chief Guest Amb Pavan Varma and the students and parents of Batch 2024-28.
Shri. Pavan K Verma Sir has truly left a remarkable impression on young minds with the words of his wisdom and with the real-life examples that would help the young students in leading their journey ahead. He talked about the importance of maintaining a positive mindset, thinking outside the box, culture and civilization, daring to dream big, positivity and Innovation, be a good listener.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the engaging session by the speaker. This was followed by the Investiture Ceremony of the newly elected Student Council, Placement cell members and Executive team members of the Annual Fest SYMPULSE for the year 2024-25. Dr. Sonica Rautela, Faculty Incharge, International Initiatives has delivered the vote of thanks for the guest.
The deputy Director, Prof. Vijay Prakash Misra gave a brief presentation about the Institute and campus life at SCMS, Pune to the students and parents. The afternoon session concluded with the Short film of Symbiosis Society’s Afro Asian Cultural Movie shown to students of new batch.
On day3 students were taken to a visit to the picturesque campus of the Symbiosis International University in Lavale and the Vishwabhavan located at SB Road to visit the Dr. Ambedkar and Afro Asian Cultural Museums.

Day 1 of the Induction Programme was graced by Mr. Mahendra Chopra, Executive Director at Ernst & Young and Dr. Manjiri Prabhu, English Author, Film-maker and Founder/Director of the Pune International Literary Festival. Both the speakers truly left a remarkable impression on young minds with the words of their wisdom and with the real-life examples that would help the young students in leading their journey ahead. The students thoroughly enjoyed the engaging session by both the speakers.
The Director, Dr. Adya Sharma gave a brief presentation about the Institute, 4-year BBA degree course and campus life at SCMS to the students and parents. For students who are coming to Pune for the first time leaving behind their house, Dr. Adya Sharma beautifully explained their parents the importance of letting their child to explore life on his own. This would help them prepare themselves for a better independent life which they are going to live for next three years on the campus. Diversity is experienced at SCMS in its true sense, by not just having students from different states and countries but also by including the latest varied trends in pedagogy. Writing Research papers, Experiential projects and COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) are the perfect examples of a blended mix of academic diversity offered at SCMS. Dr. Adya Sharma also motivated students to start their career journey with valuable learnings from industry leaders, alumni, our Internal partners and faculty members.

The induction program also included a session on a pressing topic of Gender Sensitization, Waste Resource Management, Multidisciplinary Courses, Yoga for inner peace and well-being, Biodiversity @ SIU, and fun-filled student activities conducted by the student council and the Department of Sports Recreation and Wellness (DSRW), Pune.

On the third day, Mrs. Beena Mandrekar, the DTM, Toastmasters conducted a very engaging and enlightening session for students. To conclude the Induction Programme, students were taken to an Outbound trip on DAY 4 where they thoroughly enjoyed playing different games in the serenity of Pune’s beautiful climate and on DAY 5 students were taken to a visit to Symbiosis International University campus and to the Symbiosis Society’s Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum and Memorial.
The farewell and annual prize distribution program for the third year students of Batch 2020-23 SCMS Pune was an wonderful event filled with laughter, tears, and nostalgia conducted on 10th March 2023. The event was organized by the student committees and featured breath-taking performances by the performing arts clubs.

Description:The first ever flagship event of Monetrix, Equinox’24 was carefully curated to make the participants test their financial acumen while having fun. The event was divided into two separate competitions namely, Equity Research and Mock Stock both of which took place in a 1.5 - 2 hour window. In the Mock Stock round, the participants were given a virtual cash amount to invest and they were made to trade in real time with the rest of the teams. The equity research round was much more technical and comprehensive. The teams were then subjected to cross questioning by the judges, Dr. Shreya Virani, Dr. Ishita Dutt, Deputy Director Prof. Vijay Parakash Mishra and Arpita Ma’am along with the other participating teams. After completion of both the rounds, the prize distribution of the winners took place in the lobby whereupon a performance by Encore was followed by the valedictory ceremony
Description: Prom night being the flagship event of Initiate Cell is a fundraiser event, to collect donations for NGOs. It revolved around the theme ‘Rom-Com’. Hence, the amphitheater was adorned with fairy lights, rom-com posters, rom-com themed stalls. Multiple programs were planned for this event including performances by Step Up, and the members of Initiate Cell. The event started with a performance by Step Up, following a musical performed by the members of Initiate. Later, awards were distributed based on different categories, to students from FY, SY and TY. The event concluded, as the audience dance their hearts out with music playing in the background.
Description: Clubbin’24, which is an intra club/cell/committees battle, was hosted by the cultural committee on the 13th and 14th of February. The itinerary of Day 1 had two extremely entertaining rounds. The first round was ‘dog and bone’. The second one was an relay obstacle course which consisted of five exhilarating stations. The stations were set in a way that tested students on various unpredictable skills from aiming to shoot on empty water bottles to draping sarees to dancing on the spot. Description: Initiate cell conducted an event in collaboration with Deepastambha Foundation to engage with the children at the Manavya Gokul Orphanage Home with an objective to raise and spread awareness about HIV positive orphans and in order to encourage people to understand their history, circumstances and spend quality time with them. Several games including: cricket, table tennis, badminton, chess, carrom, ludo etc. the participants were also made aware about the small business of the children at the orphanage. Here, cloth bags, pillowcases, vegetable bags and much more were available and up for purchase. The event was then concluded by collecting feedback as well as dancing with the children and seeing their smiles and laughter.

Description: Monetrix organized THE BIG $HOOT 2.0- where money does the dictating, a mock FIFA Auction event, similar to that of last year. Participants were to bid for their favourite team players to form a squad of eleven players on basis of their rankings and then the 4 winners were announced judged on the basis of ratings and cash balance. The two winning teams from each group were rewarded by our heads with coupons. The event had a great turnout and ended with a vote of thanks to the sponsors, and all our participants without whom the event wouldn’t have been a success.
Description: Over the span of three days, our event aimed to create an atmosphere of joy, learning, and compassion. The students carefully crafted choreographies that were both fun and easy to learn, Secondly, we extended our hands towards a noble cause by organizing a fundraiser for the children at Nirankar Balgram. Members of the StepUp crew undertook the responsibility of instructing the 20 children in dance routines. Furthermore, we played various games and danced with the children. A warm and heartfelt cake- cutting ceremony accompanied by the joyous exchange of gifts, snacks and tea organised by our Director Adya Ma am and Step up club, a wholesome experience for those children at SCMS. Ultimately, the event was a success as we were able to organize the required funds for the children through donations by many people.

The International Cell organized a successful event tailored for international students called Buddy Connect. This interactive event was held in FY-D from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The main goal was to build connections between International Students and their assigned buddies at SCMS Pune.
The event started with a structured introduction session, where participants shared where they were from and what difficulties they had been facing since arriving to SCMS. Buddies are assigned to help address these concerns, laying a solid foundation for bonding activities. All the buddies were introduced to the audience with their pictures in the presentation.
The event featured a game inspired by Family Feud. Teams with an international student and their buddy answered questions about life at Symbiosis. A PowerPoint presentation with predefined answers and point values added a competitive but engaging aspect.
The teams were tasked with guessing the correct answers to questions that were displayed to them. The questions were generic, for example, what is the most used word by a Symbiosis Student or what is the most ordered thing in the Symbiosis canteen, to which there were six pre-decided answers, each with different points. The better answer weighed more points, and the team that would guess the correct answer would score more.
A highlight was a guessing game where the buddies went outside the room and were again brought while covering their faces. The students then had to guess the buddy's name and how they introduced themselves initially. The person who made the accurate guesses also received a chocolate prize.
Throughout the event, bonds between international students and their buddies grew stronger. To wrap up, all international students contributed to a visual representation of positive experiences. They painted their hands and left handprints on chart paper, symbolizing lasting memories.

10:30am to 5:30pm. The theme for the event was “Unlocking

The esteemed speakers for the event were: Rakhi Pal (Speaker for
Technology), Kunal More (Speaker for Entertainment) and Dhruva
Paknikar (Speaker for Design). Each speaker represented one of the
fundamental pillars of TED. These eminent individuals shared their

journeys and endeavours.

The event had a total of 30 participants and 11 E-Cell core members Each participant was handed a bingo card which contained names of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship related terms. Description: The council declared the results of the club heads on 15th July, after the long interview process, the results were declared in the presence of all the applicants and faculty members. An adequate amount of blood is needed in all health care facilities to meet the urgent need for patients facing trauma and other lifesaving procedures, such as blood transfusions – which saves millions of lives each year. Donating blood is a simple procedure that can be done within an hour. With an aim to raise awareness regarding the significance of regular blood donations, and importance of keeping the health sector with a stable blood supply, Initiate Cell on behalf of SCHC had conducted a poster competition. The poster making competition was officially themed, ‘Donate Blood & Keep the World Beating!’ was a submission-based event in which students came forward to lend a hand and take a step forward in voicing the concern, bringing to light for Blood Donation, to save millions of lives.
Description: Drammebaaz in collaboration with Panorama conducted a campaign, “Plastic 450”, to spread awareness among the students of SCMS about the dangers of using single use plastics and bad waste management. an E-pledge, designed by Panorama, was shared and students were requested to post it on different social media platforms. On July 29th, 2022 Drammebaaz organized and performed a street play on the theme of World Environment Day and World No Plastic Day. The street play displayed the ignorance of people regarding usage of plastics and waste management. The street play was followed by a speech about what are the steps our institution has taken to reduce plastic usage and waste. The end of the event had the council members and all the club heads taking a photo with a poster made by Panorama to celebrate World Environment Day.
Description: A 30-minute zoom call, a photography event hosted by “Nimayate Corporate Solutions” in association with Wagh Bakri Tea. The motive of the photography contest is to showcase the development beauty of India captured by the citizens was held to thoroughly explain the occurrence and help address any lingering questions. For this event we were asked to capture “Ek cup chai” keeping in mind we capture the beauty of India & tea – make sure the tea cup is visible in the picture along with our idea of Naye Bharat Ki Tasveer. The Music Club of SCMS Pune, Encore went live on the SCMS’ official Facebook page on the 13th of May, 2020 where the club put up a virtual concert consisting of two songs (Waiting on the World to Change and Heal the World). With this event, Encore aimed at creating a joyful experience for students and staff. The event received massive appreciation from everyone alike and garnered over 190 live viewers with total views over 2000 at the time of making the report. The Dance Club of SCMS Pune, STEP-UP Crew, went live with SCMS Pune’s Facebook page at 7pm where the club put up an exhilarating performance by recording themselves dancing at home and compiling those efforts to form one whole video. The duration of the song mix was almost 5 minutes and the song chosen was a Rajasthani folk fusion.
The video showcased 45 members of the club including the present students as well as alumni. The performers belonged to 8 batches of SCMS Pune ranging from Batch of 2015 to Batch of 2022. This performance was a result of tremendous hard work of almost 2 weeks and was tremendously marketed for on social media platforms like Whatsapp, Instagram and Facebook.
Drammebaaz organised anQuaran-Teaming wherein the club streamed live on the Facebook page of SCMS, Pune,live at 7 - 7:30, On June 21st, 2020, which highlight the events during the quarantine period in a humorous way. The event received an audience of around 40 people and 700 views on Instagram.

The Dance Club of SCMS Pune, Step-Up Crew organised a live dance fitness session called ‘Fit-a-thon Live’ on 26th July, 2020. The session was conducted by Ms. Alisha Maini (batch of 2018 & ex- Step Up Crew head) a certified bolly-fitness instructor based in Delhi, India. The video showed Alisha demonstrating the steps while 4 of our club members (Sheryl Noronha, Esha Gang, Hardik Dudiya and Revathi Krishnan) followed along with her. The easy steps and exciting Bollywood songs aimed to encourage the students, faculty, family and friends to get fit through dance with us. Though we faced some technical difficulties while uploading the video, the event was still enjoyed by all. Our video showed 146 viewers after the live stream ended.

The event registration started on 10th July and was open to the participants till 15th July. It had 2 rounds
Round 1: The participants were given a list of companies which was compiled by the E-Cell team. The participant had the option to choose any company of their choice and will then have to prepare an elevator pitch which should not exceed 90 seconds. The 1 videos submission was 26th July they were evaluated by our judge Prof. Pratik Potdar, on the 27th, Round 1 had a total of 21 registrations and round 2 had 3 finalists.

had Mr. Harsh Lal, Director of the Souled Store India as our
guest judge. finalists were supposed to present a PPT about
the company and they were cross questioned by our judge.

The Social Media Bootcamp was the first standalone event conducted by Panorama in the current academic year. The event was a workshop which was conducted by our corporate partners, Standout Digital. Standout is a consulting firm based out Singapore, founded by Mr Vatsa Vishesh. Over time. The company has trained professionals and teams at various big-name companies like PepsiCo, Hindustan Unilever, Microsoft, KPMG, Deloitte, etc. The workshop was conducted on the Google Meet platform, by which we had received 120+ registrations. It covered social media marketing, ads, lead generation, lead funneling, content creation, social media do’s and don’ts and website design. The number of participants in the actual Google Meet at any given time was above 87, with the highest number being 95 participants.

This event was conducted on 12th October 2020, Monday at 4:00 PM on Airmeet. We received around 240+ registrations and had a live attendance of 170+ attendees.
The main event was scheduled for 30 minutes where in our Academic Representative, Dhruv Talreja, led the session. He addressed the new batch regarding an introduction to the Academic Cell and its workings, the college curriculum and co-curricular activities, the entire hierarchy and the workings of the student body, clubs, cells and boards, online presence of our college and the opportunities one could grab outside of college.
The entire session ended up being very informative and was followed by a doubt clarification session by Dhruv Talreja, Divyam Agarwal and Ananya Vasudeva where in the students approached them directly with all the doubts and queries, they had. This session was scheduled for 15 minutes.
To conclude, the entire session was viewed as a power packed session which gave us the opportunity to interact with the new batch and vice versa. The feedback we’ve received from the attendees has been very positive and appreciative.

Drammebaaz along with Ecell came up with a fun and entertaining two day event involving 6 events which test the cultural and entrepreneurial skills of participants. The very own business fest Indipreneur which consisted of various departments like Marketing, innovation, PR a& Finance. All the video entries received were judged and filtered by Team Enthusia and the three celebrity guests/judges of Enthusia.

The Cultural Committee of SCMS, organised an event named “crossWARd” on the 1st of August. This was a delightful online event where students participated individually or in teams of two. The participants had to puzzle out three diverse crosswords so as to crack the code which led them to a google meet link the participants here competed with each other followed by an interesting quiz on kahoot. his event focused on providing students a platform to absorb, compel and enjoy themselves. All the students who participated in this event found it very engrossing and entertaining, they really appreciated the cultural committee for organising this event and proving this opportunity.
Write-Up: Around the BBA in 30 minutes was an event organized by the Academic Cell for the purpose of providing the incoming batch with a clearer idea about the workings of the college and to clarify any and all queries they had regarding the college. The entire session was viewed as a power-packed session which gave us the opportunity to interact with the new batch and vice versa.
Write-Up: Enactus Briefing session hosted by the Enactus president was an event conducted with the purpose to explain the mission and objectives of Enactus SCMS, Pune. The regular field visits, conducting of qualitative and quantitative surveys grasped the attention of the audience. Work of every department under Enactus was explained by respective Department Heads.
Write-Up: The Dramatics club of SCMS,Pune Drammebaaz organised the first event of the academic year to showcase the plethora of talent the new batch possesses to the new batch of students. The basic agenda of the event was to increase the visibility of the club in the college.
Write-Up: The inaugural event of the fest board was conducted with the aim of introducing the board to the new students. Students were briefed about the upcoming fests mainly Atharv : IIM Indore. Students were also given the opportunity to register for the events on the spot post the workshop.
Write-Up: On 22nd July 2019 in the SCMS Lobby, the Student Council unveiled the core committees of all the Clubs/Cells/Boards for the AY 2019-20. The core members were selected after conducting multiple screening rounds.
Write-Up: The Dance Club of SCMS Pune, Step-Up Crew, put up an electrifying performance in the year 2109-20 for their Flash Mob. The performance was held in the Campus Plaza and was welcomed and witnessed by students with warm cheers. The audience was left awestruck by the graceful choreography and energetic by the graceful choreography of the crew.
Write-Up: The Dramatics Club and Editorial Board of SCMS,Pune organised Walk the Street in the auditorium to break the ice between the batches along with them to have fun and enjoy the city's downpours. The basic agenda for the event was to help the newer batches to gel well with others and enjoy a night full of drama, dance and fun.
Write-Up: Organised by the Investment Board of SCMS,Pune ‘Finance 101’ was a workshop conducted to provide attendees with valuable insights into the financial world and basics of trading in the stocks. The speaker for the workshop was Mr. Promod P.B, a postgraduate in B.Law and English
Write-Up: Encore, the music club of SCMS conducted an event SYNCORENIZE to launch its new core members. The event had a variety of music with a lot of instruments used such as the jenga and a hindi performance as well. The audience was mesmerised by the vocals of the performers.
Write-Up: Conducted by the Entrepreneurship Cell of SCMS,Pune this workshop was organised with the motive to appreciate how our daily life has a strong link to entrepreneurship. To convey the message videos, presentations and conversations were taken help of. The workshop was attended by a huge group of students and received amazing feedback.
Write-Up: Panorama, the photography club of SCMS organised Panofiesta and an event with 4 stations each having different games. Despite the scorching heat the event received a lot of buzz and hence also received on the spot registrations. Each and every participant enjoyed a lot.
Write-Up: Students in teams of 2 participated in Symposia’s (The Debating & Quizzing Club of SCMS,Pune) Mind Fizz. An amalgamation of treasure hunt and debate competition Mind Fizz was a wave of fresh energy. The participants were judged on the basis of content, confidence and spontaneity. Top 2 teams of the event with gift vouchers from the event sponsor.
Write-Up: Think-Tank, the marketing and advertising club of SCMS Pune conducted ‘The Ironical’ to test the knowledge of the students in the area of Branding. Out of 100 participants, 16 shortlisted finalists were asked Ironical questions about brands they guessed right. The event received positive feedback from everyone.
Write-Up: When Initiate Cell (Social Welfare and Environmental Awareness Cell), Encore (The Music Club), Step Up (The Dancing Club) and Panorama (The photography and videography Club) of SCMS,Pune come together, an event that mesmerizes each and everyone in the college is bound to happen. Annual Charity ball event of SCMS witnessed a great turn-out of 200+ students who not only came all dressed up to enjoy but also donated as per their capacity to the charity. Students from all three institutes SVC contributed to the huge success of the event.
Write-Up: Conoscenza, the intra college business fest of Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, is an initiative taken by the Academic Cell to provide students with the opportunity to get a wind of how the corporate world works. The theme for this year was ‘Battle of the Varsities’. The attributes of Conoscenza being an elegant and professional business fest were maintained throughout the course.
Write-Up: Celebrated on the 5th of September the event on the occasion of Teacher’s Day was an exhibit of love and respect by the students of the college towards their hardworking faculty. Encore and Step Up performed on the occasion. In addition to that, award ceremony was held in which various awards were given to the faculty members.
Write-Up: Drammebaaz, the dramatics club of SCMS,Pune performed a street play on cyber harassment which leads to Depression and then death of a young girl.With footfall of above 100 students, the show was a hit and garnered appreciation from every viewer. Students listened in rapt attention and were eager to know more.
Write-Up: A guest lecture was conducted by the Finance Club of SCMS Pune, Monetrix. It was an in-depth insight of how to invest at a young age of 18 and how such an early investment will reap great benefits in the future. The speaker of the afternoon was Mr. Shital Shah, from Star Financials. The lecture involved discussion on his insights from the topics of SIPs, SWPs and Mutual Funds.
Write-Up: Nemesis was a treasure hunt event organised by The Academy, the film and literature appreciation club of SCMS,Pune. The event went along with the lines of treasure hunt with a tagger of each team who had to chase their respective teams before they could touch down with their treasures to the starting point. After an energetic part, the participants and taggers were on course for a very fun time.
Write-Up: Core members of the social welfare club - Initiate Cell of SCMS, Pune went for an NGO visit. An initiative towards social service, students from the college went to visit an Old Age Home called Nirmala Seva Mahila Vrudhashram to spend time with the residents. It was a lovely and wholesome experience for the students.
Write-Up :The event by the Investment board and Monetrix promoted financial literacy and raised awareness about credit transactions and verification. It saw an overall participation of 60+ students
Write-Up :The Cult Nights were organised as an ice-breaker by the Cultural Committee with the virtue of which class participation and peer-to-peer bonding would increase. It also aimed to introduce the FY students to the multiple cultural facets of the college . The overall participation went upto 300+ students

Write-Up :Dine in Darkness wanted our students to discover a sensory journey, a human exchange and a social conviviality. To help achieve our motive we were supported by the Churro Co and they contributed to us with their delightful food. Team Initiate blindfolded our students, there were 30 teams of two, any one of them had to be blindfolded and others had to lead them to their next task.
Write-Up :The members of Step Up - The Dance Club of SCMS Pune organised a 7 day workshop comprising over 35 students. The event concluded with a dance performance by the attendees at SCMS itself.
Write-Up :Chai Pe Charcha is a discussion event organized by Symposia. The event had participation from 8 individuals. The topics for this edition. were 'Does Symbi Culture exsit?' and 'Is rape normalized in India?" It was an interactive session as students from first and second years discussed these topics and put forth many points. Chai was served to all participants.
Write-Up :A new Club has been introduced as part of the extracurricular activities of the college "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Club", The two states that were paired up were Maharashtra and Odisha. The event consisted of activities such as a 'Quiz' and 'Guess the State' to test the knowledge of the students regarding both the states' diversity, culture. All the students participated with great enthusiasm and enjoyed the event. Instilled a sense of pride among the students belonging to the state of Maharashtra and Odisha. As it was in the lobby more than 30 students participated along with a few Faculty and Staff.
Write-Up :A funfair was organised by THINK TANK and INITIATE CELL. on Friday the 13th, which had various ve locking elements such as Iappy Vendors. Sparky Vibse and exuberant Student, the artistic stalls. The evening started with chirpiness of excited students looking at time followed by a tuneful performance by Joel D'souza. The hours passed by in a blink with different stories to tell by each stall !!
Write-Up :The Dance Club of SCMS Pune, STEP-UP Crew, put up an e&i karat performance at Impressions, the prestigious fest hosted by College Of Engineering, Pune (COEP). Step Up participated in the Street Dance category*y - 'Street Fonvard', a platform where various crews had participated to bag the first position. The duration of the event was 4 hours.
Write-Up :The event by Dramebaaz was to unveil the identity of the fourth gang leader, the joker. There was a team of 5 jokers who roamed around the entire campus. One of the jokers shoots the others and reveals his identity. Just as he was removed? his mask, the true joker kills him and shows his true face
Write-Up :Drammebaaz, the theatre club of SCMS Pune, successfully conducted Heat Check- The first every reality show to be conducted on the campus. The event consists of two days Day 1 (4:30 PM -8:00 PM) involved 4 team leaders taking part in two.humungous tasks. We get to witness team spirit on this day. Day 2 (3:30-5:30 PM) involved the finale. After a lot of excitement and adrenaline, the winning team won a cash prize of 8000
Write-Up :Organised by the ECELL this was an usual workshop to create awareness about what incubation is, How it is helpful for the startups and What all resources are available for startups at SCEI. All the aspiring entrepreneurs of SCMS, Pune attended the workshop in order to get guidance and mentorship from the experts.
Write-Up :Christmas Eve was celebrated by the Cultural Committee on the 24th of December Students from SCMS,SID and SCMC came to the campus Plaza to see the decorated Christmas Tree and put their Christmas wishes as post-it notes. it was a fun attraction for many students who participated heartily in true Christmas Spirit

Write-Up :On January 30, 2020 The dramatics club of SCMS, Pune organized their final event of the academic year 2019-2020-Production- Rakth Charitha in the SCMS Auditorium at 4. The event was open to all and the witnessed footfall was around 250.it is a stage adaptation of Ram Gopal Verma's movie under the same name. The performance delves into the normali, odd- happenings of Rayalaseema- a small town in South India How politics, lies and deceit create an intricate and a complex web, is the main focus of the play. It showcases the transition in the basic traits of human characters, upon facing personal loss and tragedy. In simple words, it is a revenge saga- a story narrated by the constant splatter of blood
Write-Up :The swachhta pledge taking ceremony was conducted on 16 January 2020 by the Initiate Club of Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Pune. The event saw a great turnout of over 30 students along with our faculty members and Ms. Adya Sharma, Director SCMS PUNE. 10 The Formals 2.0: Initiate, Encore and Step up came together to host a prom night event where the students dressed up elegantly and graced the night with their enthusiasm. The proceeds from the event went to an NGO.
